Thursday Nights- Durham Forest Race Series - Durham Forest, Ontario, Canada Durham Forest radio towers start. This series involves 20 weeks of racing in a relaxed and fun atmosphere and offers a great introductory series for mountain bikers of all levels and abilities. This series is one of the oldest race series in Ontario having its origins back to Fred's Farm in 1995.

Wednesday Night Coulson Hill Weekly Race Series- Coulson Hill, Near Bradford,
Ontario, Canada

What makes our series unique is the broad skill and age range that we draw. In 2009, for example, our youngest rider was only 8 years old. Our oldest: 69 years. No other series in Ontario is as family focussed and fun-oriented as the Spoke O'Motion Weekly Race Series.

August 1st- CDMBR Canal Days Mountain Bike Race - Port Colborne, Ontario
Back by popular demand is the 2nd annual Canal Days Mountain Bike Race on
Sunday Aug 1, 2010 in Port Colborne, ON.   A citizen’s event, CDMBR is bigger
and better with a more festive atmosphere.  The race will feature some of the
most challenging trails in Southern Ontario. There will be twisty trails, log- overs,
steep climbs, bridges, rock gardens all interspersed with double track passing
areas.  Participants at last year’s race and the Frostbike winter race can attest
that even elite riders will not go away unchallenged.   A free informal “youth” race
kicks off at 10:00 am followed by the main event at 11:00 am.

August 7th-14th - Whistler Crankworx - Whistler, British Columbia, Canada
When it comes to gravity-fueled mountain biking, no 10 days stand so authoritative
as Whistler BC’s Kokanee Crankworx. On par with the clout of X-Games, Pipeline Masters, and the Hannenkahm, Crankworx is the definitive event when it comes to
off-road bicycles going big, fast and down.

August 8th - Ontario Cup #6- Kelso Conservation Area, Ontario, Canada
Kelso once again plays host to the Ontario Cup Series, and is ready to testjust
prior to the end of the season. With a great location and the availability of long
climbs, Kelso is the perfect place to host this series! Remember this race is still enjoyable for riders of all ability levels including first time racers.

August 22nd- Ontario Cup Championships- Woodnewton, Uxbridge, Ontario
Woodnewton is a private 200 acre parcel of land just south of the Town of
Uxbridge featuring amazing rolling hills, forests and terrain that will be a mainstay
of mountain bike race venues for years to come.
Woodnewton won’t be open for
regular riding, however the venue will offer select pre-riding opportunities and a
few weekly races prior to the Ontario Championships so riders will have plenty of opportunity to inspect the course. The course has been designed from scratch as
a proper mountain bike race course with technical features, and elements that will make it a racer favourite.

August 28th-29th - 24 Hours at Albion: Hot August Nights - Albion Hills,
Ontario, Canada

Over 2 months after the Summer Solstice comes Chico's 2nd 24 hour of the year,
Hot August Nights. Generally 3/4 the size of the Solstice, Hot August enthusiasts
love the event for the more relaxed atmosphere. With an entire summer between
the events, many riders enjoy riding in both events as they differ in vibe and
courses, but not in amenities. The nights get a little longer and the legs a little stronger, making for a memorable race that caps off another great summer.

August 30th-September 3rd - OuterBike - Moab, Utah, U.S.A.
The world's best bike companies are coming to Moab with their 2011 bikes and
you can ride them all. Outerbike is a four-day event September 30-October 3rd.
Cost is $150 for all four days, which includes bike demos, lunch, shuttles and
schwag. From the event site there are 5 mountain bike loops and a paved road
bike path that you can take to either Arches or Canyonlands National Park.
Attendance will be capped to make sure there are plenty of bikes.

September 1st-5th - Mountian Bike World Championships - Mont-Sainte- Anne,
Quebec, Canada

September 17th-19th -Crank The Shield - Ontario, Canada
Chico Racing is offering a 3-day event through Ontario's near north. This
is Eastern North America's most challenging mountain bike stage race.
Crank the Shield offers a unique experience to riders from across North America.
Top level elite competitors should expect to finish the stages in approximately
4-5 hours with more intermediate-level participants riding about 6-7 hours per
stage.
