Kingdom Trails

Location: East Burke, Vermont, USA. The town is built around the trail system, there are parking lots and trail heads around town.

Facilities:There are several facilities available due to the fact that the entire town revolves around mountain biking in the summer. There are different parking lots equipped with change rooms. In the town of East Burke there is the Kingdom Trails Center where there are maps and information guides who can tell you which trails to go on. The Trail center is also where you buy your passes for the trails. There are several inns and bed and breakfast places to stay.

Cost: $10.00 a day $40.00 for the season

Trail Description: There are over 100 miles/ 160 kilometers of trails here in the Kingdom Trails network. All of these trails are very well mapped out and have signs that are very visible. There is something for all riders. There are easy double track trails as well as very challenging single track. There is not any lift access so you need to shuttle for the down hill portions or get ready for a long ride up. When I first arrived in East Burke, there was an amazing amount of rain. The next day when I went out for a ride the trails were bone dry. The trails are very well built and have great drainage systems built into them. There are amazing views of the green mountains throughout the ride. I recommend the sidewinder trail which winds back and forth on a ravine all the way down making it a true roller coaster ride. Other good trails are Toddies' Tour, Herbs, and Pines. If cross-country/ all mountain riding is your thing, this is the place to go.

Places To Eat: Junipers at the Wild Flower Inn is one of the best restaurants I've ever eaten at. All of the meat is organic and from local farms. All of the vegetables and the majority of beer is produced locally as well.

Rating: 10 out of 10 This is an amazing place to ride and a real must for all riders.
