Trail Name: Sea to Sky Trail
Town, Province/State: Squamish to D'Arcy, BC
Trail Location: Sea to Sky Corridor, starting 50km north of Vancouver Airport on BC's west coast through the Vancouver Coastal Region. Driving Directions: Mile '0' in Squamish running north through Cheakamus Canyon and Brandywine to Whistler, includes the paved segments, then north to Pemberton and then D'arcy. Facilities: A regionally built, simple, man-made crush 180 km trail system.
Trail Description: 180 km crush trail, usually no more than 10% grade, but most of the trail is accessible and acceptable for wheelchair access. Some areas still under construction but still accessible for all non-motorized use. Cost: Expected cost to be $10 million to complete.
Other Information: Built and operated by Squamish Lillooet Regional District in partnership with the District of Squamish, Resort Municipality of Whistler and the Village of Pemberton. Additional financial assistance provided by Whistler-Blackcomb Foundation, American Friends of Whistler, Whistler-Blackcomb Environmental Fund and others. Dependent community donations and support. Recent Trans Canada Trail status designation and financial support between Squamish and Whistler with hopes to add more sections to their roster.
