Finally, Our All Singing, All Dancing, 100% Rad, Completely New AND Improved Bike Builder!
Our Webgnarlogist had himself a rough summer spent crouched in front of a pair of glowing screens. Instead of a suntan and singletrack, he ended up destroying his retinae, and is now in a semi-catatonic state following an impressive string of back to back 70-hour weeks getting the latest version of the bike builder up on the website. We may have crushed his soul with this one, but the results just might be worth it. Check it out:
The old builder was pretty cool. you could select colors, swap out forks and shocks, and a running tab would keep track of your price and weight as you scrolled through options. But when you swapped out kits - owing to the enormity of the gong-show that photographing everything required, to say nothing of then photoshopping and layering it all into place - well, you kind of had to use your imagination.
No more. Now, when you choose different kits, every single bit of the bike morphs to represent each and every kit component, as well as the existing color and suspension choices. Now you can configure your Santa Cruz, and on the screen see EXACTLY what it will look like when built. It was a colossal pain in the ass to suspend all those individual parts of each and every kit in space and then take photographs of them, but we think it was worth it. We were so stoked with how it all looked that we went and iced the whole pizzaz cake with a sweet fade effect. This is best viewed when listening to Whitesnake. Or the theme from from 2001: A Space Odyssey. or Melt Banana playing "Flash Cube, or Eyeball". Your choice.
So far, the shadow of a man who used to be our webgnarlogist has herded about half the bikes live, and the rest are going up at the rate of a couple a day. If you know him, you should buy him a beer. He's earned it. Meanwhile pick a bike, and check the new builder out.
New Tallboy Colors
While you're taking the Bike Builder for a spin, you might notice a couple new additions to the Tallboy Carbon offerings. We've got a distinctly Nordic Blue with silver and black highlights on tap:

and a black with red accents job that any member of the A-Team would immediately recognize as right up his alley. We pity the fool who doesn't get that reference:

Both the colors above are in stock and available now. Contact your local dealer.
